Perfect weather for first cruise .
Early start to make the most of the tides.
05.00. Friday.
Approaching the Medway Forts.

Set the throttles for 10 knots and sit back.
.
Destination Lime House Marina.
OG is comfortably sitting in the warmth of the the saloon. The P35 being a well designed boat you can actually see stuff out the front.
The skipper of the Turbo 36 ,who took this picture, has got to steer upstairs and is probably freezing his bits off.
As some will know Limehouse is the gateway to the tidal Thames for canal users.
Time to explore in the (electric ) dinghy.

Excellent base for exploring London.
Visited one or two of the historic pubs backing onto the river and got cab down to the War Museum near the Elephant and Castle.
Did wander up to St Kats to cadge a drink from one of the skippers in our club with far too much money.
St Kats was heaving but appeared to still have some space even though one of the big Thames non tidal clubs was holding a rally there.
Popped into the Narrows and our favorite restuarant, Il Bordello at Wapping Wall.
