Correct, I'll have to try harder next time, heading back to anglesey from tobermory (had just seen a pod of dolphins around 500m back from this photo)via croabh haven, crinan canal and portpatrick...(aug2005)

didn't look like that last sat morning at 4am as I was heading north
howth thurs night, mull of kintyre 18:00 fri, dunstaffnage 07:00 sat & saw a big basking shark at day break, just off the north of kerrera

It would have been, porpoises you will have seen, Not Dolphins.
Nice pictures, I thought it was looking north up between west coast of Bute and Inchmarnoch island taken from the south of Bute in the Bute sound.

Did that little detour on passage from tarbert to largs, as it was a little choppy and we needed a little bit of shelter, but it got us back on the bottom corner of the headland just before we got to the cumbrae islands..and it started raining for rest of day..
