Yep
Just like a lot of others, we will be making the first trip across,
but going on Monday (work commitments) weather permitting.
just upgraded to one of the last new S28 SWMBO will feel a bit nervie? Plan is to go to st vaast if sea state good enough.

That seems to make 3 virgins now. Pity you cant all go together

Re: Good luck

We crossed channel last year in our S23 and to honest all the fear was in the planning and the ooh err comments from others - the actual crossing was fun!

You'll love it, and when you return you will wonder what all the fuss was about.

Cheers

Andrew

if the Poole meet goes as planned (?) and the weather is really really nice on Sat evening, then we may turn right instead of left heading out of Studland.

Would be the first for this boat too...........

Unfortunately the weather doesn't look that good for a weekend over there in a relatively open boat without heating or hot water so we probably won't for another month.... /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Our first boat was an S28 with 2XKAD32. Great boat and no problem across Irish Sea.
We experienced some serious sea state a couple of times and the boat took it in her stride.
We wish you all the best with yours.

Well thanks guys and gals, by the sound of it the french are going to be very bizzy, still have one problem?
how much wine can I get aboard without sitting to deep in the water, and where to stow it all, He He /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
