Surely these guys should be racing in all conditions. Just coz it's bit shifty and light they cancelled. In my experience those are just the sort of conditions that sorts the real sailors out.

Looks like the only thing they cannot buy is the wind,who is their right minds wants to be drifting about off Valencia in February,25 miles out so no spectators and only three races .By the looks of the news pictures its going almost unnoticed...in Spain.

I think they can easily "take it' - but with the winds of 10-11 knots being so fluky (variation of 100 degrees across the course) that it's more a matter of luck as to who will win. Bit like boxers needing a clean dry canvas floor to avoid oops one just falling over and other winning.

I thought the problem was setting the course - the wind was too shifty too do anything without then risking a massive line bias. Given what's at stake, I can imagine everyone would prefer a straight start line.
