I organise the RYA First Aid Training for my club on the Blackwater. We usually hire an instructor from Essex Outdoors who comes to the club on a Saturday or Sunday and trains a group of up to 12 people. However, they have changed their charging policy, which means a significant increase over what we have been paying.
Does anyone know of an instructor who might be prepared to come and train a group of our members?

Royal Harwich are now using the guy from Shearwater Sailing at Woolverstone. They have used several providers in the past - I cannot even remember the name of the guy that did mine.... which probably means I need a refresher.

Mine has also run out but as I have stopped Instructing as of last year and I have also stopped racing dinghies as of last year I shall not be taking any refreshers. The cost is stupid anyhow.

probably a bit late, but my name is Annie Heathcote and I have been teaching RYA First Aid at various clubs on the East Coast. WMYC, DSC the Nottage amongst others. I also teach most First Aid courses and am a practising nurse. If interested respond in this thread and I will pick it up.
