Last week i saw a 40ish ft boat go up in flames in next to no time , id say 2 mins and it was so fierce you could'nt get near it . Desperate efforts where made to put the fire out by fellow boaters/islanders .
Sadly on comming back from my trip i learnt that a young lady of 24 was on board and lost her life.
I wont go on about fire equipment etc ill just say smoke alarms are £4.99 at wicks.
Who cares if they look ugly and its not hard to pop the battery out if they go off at the wrong time.
My thoughts are with the family and friends of the young lady aboard .
