Just been surfing the web and came across this. Reminders to self:-
1. Check fire extinguishers are all in date
2. Install fire blanket for use in the area I laughingly call "the galley"
3. Make a peephole in the companionway steps to deploy extinguisher for engine fire

I recommend reading the feature.

The video's worth a watch too. Convinced me to get rid of all the powder extinguishers (I've replaced them with multi-purpose foam). As soon as he sets it off, not even emptying the whole thing, the cabin is completely enveloped in opaque powder and they have to escape up the companionway. The fire had to be put out by a fireman in breathing apparatus.
