Fire in Sparkes Marina

C pontoon, West End.
Emergency vehicles are in attendance, hopefully nobody injured.
Flames / smoke appear to be blowing in a direction away from FP, which is something.

Preventing the fire from spreading will be a challenge.

Two boats have sunk, unknown how many others have been damaged.

FP is fine (B-Pontoon), but C-Pontoon is mess - it's closed off, and oil slick containment booms have been deployed.
Several hundred gallons of diesel are floating around in the Marina.
"No Smoking" signs have been put up.

The first boat on fire was a really smart looking older boat, not sure exactly what type, similar to an Aqua Star 33.
That boat and it's neighbour have burnt to the waterline and sank in the Marina.
The sailing boat a couple of boats down is badly burnt.
Another boat is slightly damaged.

It's not going to be easy to sort everything out, but nobody was injured as far as I know, which is the most important thing.
The Marina did a good job of keeping owners informed.

Unlikely that the diesel will combust. Needs a fair amount of compression, or really fierce igniter. Good news on FP, and commiserations for all those affected.

Oh dear, so sorry for the owners.
I hope the insurers do the right thing by all.
