I got three this morning, local branch (Bugs: Hill) had 20 or so.
A much better designed unit than the 6Kg. version, simple solid mount and decent safety catch; indeed better IMO than the 'normal' priced ones I bought originally.

Can't help comment but I DO find Lidl a bit off-putting; OK, I understand the stuff on pallets but stock thrown into wire bins I find depressing, indeed the whole place looks depressed, and the staff as well...

Pity 'cos I think the products are reasonable quality it's just that they're "foreign", by that I mean I don't know whether the manufacturer is reasonable or not. Not meant to be a pejorative term; just my ignorance of whose what on the other side of "the sleeve". It's a complete load of cahones as I'll happily by Chinese "branded" electronics from C*met or C***ys.

Totally illogical, can anybody help me out?? Isn't this is what the EU should be about - not all the crap of bureaucrats tying us up in reams of paperwork?

In best Amazon terms, while I was there I also bought:-
<ul type="square">

[*] A nicely designed smoke alarm for £3.99
[*] an inside / outside temperature gauge with TWO clocks for a similar amount,
[*] Two pairs of rubber gloves of a better design than the supermarkets' brand and half the price.
[*] a set of brass and steel abrasive brushes (to clean my S/S fittings as recommended on these fora)for £1.99
[*] Four stainless steel scourer pads (for use when recovering SWMBO's culinary excesses) for the price of one of Sainsbug's ditto.

[/list]

No cuddly toy, though.

I did rush through, though, before I got accosted by a Big Issue salesman.

I commend this outfit to the House.

That's a pity. Must vary a lot. Our 'local' one (Cowplain, Hampshire) is neat and tidy; no pallets or bins; and staff are very friendly/efficient. Yesterday not even a queue (unusual). Maybe has something to do with fact premises used to be Waitrose!!!

By produce being 'foreign' assume you mean German! ... suits me fine, especially the cheeses and cold meets! Been stocking up the boat. Not too keen on the wines though.

The Fire Brigade recommend a Minimum of 4kg dry powder for a yacht, as opposed to 2kg at home. Why? because you wont get 9 tons of fire engine with trained fire fighters dashing out to the rescue at sea....

Funny that - BSS (which may not apply - yet - to sea boats) want a minimum of three extinguishers (equals 3 x 1Kg on my boat) and anyway I'd have trouble storing anything bigger than 2Kg in my bit of tin, and I've got loads of space. Perhaps the FB don't appreciate the logistics of boats?

What language ?

"....It's a complete load of cahones as .."

Cajones are drawers, as in chest of drawers.

Cojones are testicles.

The two should not be confused.
