We have on board three different Fire Extinguisher tubes. The usual clamping devices for homes and cars of these tubes are not adapted for its use on a moving boat.
We keep the extinguishers in nearby lockers but are aware that this is not a good idea.
I am looking for practical suggestions about installing the Fire Extinguishers on board.

Thanks in advance!

I use two saddle loops, one each side of the cylinder, and lash it in with a quick release hitch. Obviously it needs to sit on something. Otherwise you would need 2 more saddles to tie around the neck too.

Common problem. Just had a boat surveyed and one comment was that the 6 litre extinguisher in the cockpit locker is not tied down. Well neither is anything else in the locker! In domestic use it would sit on a steel hook on the wall. I'm thinking some wooden chocks at the base of the locker and a webbing strap.

I've replaced the 2 litre internal ones. These have reasonably substantial plastic brackets but not a patch on the steel ones they replaced. The idea of them flying around the cabin is not attractive!
