Looking for a replacement automatic fire extinguisher in a Broom 37 / 39 engine compartment .

Any idea what size is needed ??

Thanks !

It’s showing discharged on the gauge, and it seems most automatic extinguishers for sale are just 2kg.
It’s an American extinguisher so servicing may be an issue …

Yours can’t be refilled iirc .
Here Fireblitz do a 4 and 6 kg ,The 4 kg should be suitable.

Recent time stamped pic of the dial as well last Sept. FWIW .

It's a 9kg pendulum on a longish cantilever mounted to something that both moves unpredictably in the macro sense(due to wash, waves and swell) and vibrates due to the propulsion; I'd expect something a bit more robust than a bit of 25x3 steel bar with a bend in it. A second bracket at the detector/sprayer end would suffice. Don't get me wrong, the mount is more than strong enough to carry the static load of the device, I'd just worry about it cracking in the long term, probably right on the bend or perhaps where the other half of the bracket is welded onto the body.

Discharged or just a bit below the green zone? A bit below the green is okay in cold temperatures .
Seafire do have a UK presence but expect they would want to sell you a new cylinder at great expense which doesn't seem very environmentally responsible but as said its a USA company and they don't care about the environment.
