Has anyone got one of these? Seem like a good hardtop design for the UK but not too many around. Just wondered as they come with the D6-310 or 350 in single install, which is similar to our 34 and I wonder how people found that set up day to day, so to speak

Jez,

They are like the proverbial hens teeth to get hold of. Few have come to uk (2/3) of which two were demo boats. I believe FYM have one. Most have gone to the med and their order list is long.

I considered one but could not even find a demo to look at! Hopefully some one will have been on one...but not me!

Cheers

Yes, I found their site and did some quick maths, added the options that should be standard /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif etc. Very sleek boat, but as I said, was interested that the only option was a single D6. Something I think is a good idea but I wasn't sure if the UK market would. after all, you can buy a Sealine S/SC29 and BMB 30S with single D6's yet they all seem to be bought with twin D3's

Jez,

The type of people who buy scandanavian beauties are used to only looking at Single engines with the exception of Windy's which are performance boats. In relation to your W34, I think to play it safe the Sportscruiser should have twin D3's but the hard top (when out) could go for a single D6! I get the feeling you could get the Aquador 32c and Grandezza 31 oc crowd interested in the W34 HT with a D6 and that market seems very lucrative as most buyers fully spec up their boats! Something tells me you could hit both areas of the market with the same boat. W34 - young sportscruiser, W34HT, older sensible cruisers! Double wammy and I think you should market it that way.

IMHO

Cheers

I keep seeing the advert for these in MBM and keep reading the review MBM did on i, I do quite like it, nice layout.

Think the distributor was based in Plymouth so not had a chance to look at it but wouldn't mind, although I think it would probably be a bit on the small side

Jez,

I looked at one at the Boat Show in Ghent (Belgium) in Feb this year. We were actually visiting the Fairline stand and Brielle is also selling Finnmaster. They also have a sales office in Nieuwpoort at the Belgian coast.

Boat really looked very nice, good quality, tons of space for LOA also below deck, ample stowage (esp single engine).
However, quite expensive (>200k€) and I must admit that I don't fancy the hardtop cruiser option anyway (see one of my other posts). However, it's a beautiful package all together !
