I bet you are soo excited, nothing like that first night onboard, with all that new upholstery it will seem like a new boat- enjoy.:)

i am soooooo exited i dont think i will sleep tonight

No plans to move there, too far for me I'm afraid. We are just having a mooch around tomorrow, and will check out a couple of boats while we're there.

Too far? Too far?

I spent 6 years wearing a groove in the M40 and A34 from Stratford upon Avon to Southampton. Wouldn't have missed it for the world.
Now making a groove in the sky from Birmingham Airport to Sant Carles.

Also spent many years on River Avon (Welford), Severn (Lenchford) and Thames (Windsor). Very happy times.

+1

Spent a year doing Leicester to Windsor, now done 4 years down on the Hamble. Would love the boat to be 20 minutes away but I'd travel further than we already do if it meant to be by the sea.

Enjoy your first night Lanerboy. Happy times.

We spent a few years on the A14/A11 to Acle, and used up all our desire for this on a Friday night/Sat morning. I also spend much of my day job travelling, so I really want minimum travelling at the weekend, just chill time.

well got to be in southampton at 8am in the morning for the off load and launch and as i live so far away i am going to meet the lorry driver and kip in the boat on the back of his lorry later so i dont have to get up so early LOL

that will be a 1st night to remember thats for sure :D

1st time with a lorry driver, is always memorable (so I'm told) :)

Tide was very high on the Hamble today. Have you checked that the crane can get near the river in the morning?

Anyway, very best wishes for the launch of the new Larissa:)

all went well today unloaded the boat the volvopaul had to shoot off and do another job so i finished a few bits off and got a bit straighter

when paul came back he ran the engines for the 1st time with no problems then he took the boat down the river for a short stint then back to the marina another check over and he was happy

i am now back home again and looking forward to getting down there next week for half term

thanks again paul for a great job ;)
