So finally the engine is back together, has been run at load on the pontoon for 40 minutes without the temperature alarm sounding, so this weekend we'll be taking her for a tentative spin. AJ will be so please to be "going out to sea" (even though it is just the river). Anybody around this weekend?

We will be around but spectating /helping [interfering] with the RS Tera Southern Nationals at Burnham Sailing Club.
The race area is likely to be in the Burnham SC to Cliff Reach area, so be prepared to be buzzed by about 90 little dinghies.
Treat them a bit like wasps, if you don't annoy them they normally avoid you.:)

Ooh, better check times, would be nice to avoid them until we have some confidence in the engine

As the late Tommy Trinder would say " You Lucky People". Still waiting for Harlequin's engine to be put back together. Hopefully see you on the river in a couple of weeks. Hope all goes well for you this weekend.
