I’m trying to find details of an old pilot cutter built approx in the 50s or 60s and operated from Spern Point. It was called the “John Good”.

I heard it was taken to whitby as a fishing vessel once. Anyway does anyone know where I might start to look for details?

Thanks

We had many happy pints of beer on the Lincoln Castle, while she was tied up in Grimsby as a pub. 1989 ish.
The engine room was unmolested.
Sadly she was needlessly scrapped with much justified outrage from old ship enthusiasts.
I am so old I can remember crossing the Humber in her! ;)

Pity she could not have been saved, she would have been a good visitor attraction or, even better, used for river trips.

Wasn't there an old sea school owner and erstwhile yottie journo built approx in the 50s or 60s.....? He - or she, or they - was called 'John Good'.
I have no sepia print photo to offer.
