Finally I\'ve bought a mobo for The Thames!

Hurrah! Just had to share my news with future fellow Thames forumites.

Deposit down, survey passed on a 1978 Princess 32 with single Volvo diesel 75hp, currently known as Dickie G.

Berth reserved at Chiswick Quay marina on Tidal Thames.

Now just got to get it down from Newark! Looking forward to seeing you on the Thames soon (before the end of August with any luck). Note to self: get a forum burgee.

Thanks to all of you who have provided advice on ybw.com - it's been invaluable over the last few months.

I'll be posting under the name of DickieG as and when the name change is approved.

I am one very excited forumite - now if this weather can just stick around for a while...........

I was speaking to the last owner at Farndon Marina during last easter.nice new canopy and covers.I seem to think it was an Ex hire boat with Caley cruisers on the Caledonian canal

Thanks jkay. And yes you're dead on. That's exactly what she was and there's an invoice to prove it.

Damned good nick for a 30 year old ex-hire I think! And yes the canopy and covers are new additions and very nice they are too. Never fancied red until I saw her decked out in her new clothes.

Good to see another Princess 32 on the Thames. We sometimes spend the night at Chiswick Pier on our way down river so I will look out for you. Ours is named Tahoe.
