Finally Got To Shotley

Having bought the boat in November we finally got our maiden voyage out of the way on Saturday.

I wouldn't say it was particularly well planned as we left Lowestoft at 10am with a view to having a look, and just carried on going, arriving at Shotley just after 12.

Forecast was a NW 4 or 5, so with the wind and tide behind us we bumped along at a nice 23 knots.

Thanks to Dougie for his words of encouragement en route, and sorry there are no pics as we were a bit busy keeping an eye on things.

Well done - there are times when I wish I could cruise at 23 knots!

Another one to join the Shotley crowd! I have never been by boat - must try it sometime.

You may find Morgana may arrive and attempt to relieve you of some falling down juice at some stage....but be sure he reciprocates...
