Filling holes in deck - what is the best method?

We have recently had to remove some old tracks from deck and replace them with new ones. Needless to say the hole spacing was different so we had to drill new ones, offset from the old. Any advice on the best way to fill the old holes that will be under the new track. The deck is a GRP sandwich with a timber core of some sort.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Cheers G

I think you should drill out the holes to remove any sealant/dirt/other contaminant and then fill with epoxy thickened to a slurry with some micro baloons. (You could just use liquid epoxy provided the bottom of the holes are sealed) Don't make the mix too stiff or you'll have difficulty getting full penetration to the bottom.

Oops!
If you mix the epoxy without fillers and put some of that in then add the micro ballons to the mix and top up with that you'll get both penetration and strength (and use less resin)

Thanks all for the advice. I have now done the job (with countersinks) and all looks well. I guess the proof of my workmanship is next time it rains!
