The central fiddles on our saloon table are removeable the outer ones not. I would like to make the outer ones removeable but don't know where to look for the hardware. The removeable one have metal 'pins' which fit into close fitting "cups" recessed in the table. I have no idea where to source these. Can anyone help?

Thanks for that, but the current ones are (I think) too slim to be sawn off wood screws. They are, at most 1/8 inch diameter and project about 1/4 of an inch into the inset cups. They are a very tight fit.

Hi
Brass wood screws 1"x No 6 are about 1/8" diameter, if you drill holes that are the same Dia and fit brass screw cups countersunk and glued into the timber base, that should hold the fiddles, failing that you could get some small bore brass tube, cut off a short length and insert that into the timber base.
Hope this helps
