We are currently in the process of renovating/rebuilding a Rivetto and the previous owner had some weird lining (we think it was shower matts) glued to the interior hull. Hull also seems to have been painted before that.
We ripped the lining and we want to repaint the interior hull. However, we are not sure how much do we need to grind. Is it enough to just remove the leftover glue and repaint or should we grind all the way to the fiberglass hull?
Will new paint (top coat) have issues adhering to the previous paint?
Thank you for any responses in advance!
