Fender plank - dimensions?

Any advice on dimensions for a fender plank would be appreciated.

PS the TPNS picture has been banned by YBM management since THEY say it is a picture of breasts and NOT as I maintain a serious aid to navigation due to replace GPS. For those interested management has moved it to the lounge. Since the title was Osama Bin Scrubbing etc etc

Mine is a shade over 5 foot long and 1 inch thick by 9 inches deep. Would have goner bigger but the wood ran out! (That's on a 32 foot boat) For yours I guess you will need 8 foot minimum.

I used to have one about 8ft.

Get an old scaffolding plank & cut to fit pilings/ storage location as appropriate.
