I have a large round fender which has a gash on one side -about 10 cm long. Its still airtight obviously not very strong but I wonder if there is anything I can do to fill the gash - glue or maybe Sikaflex (if so which type) Anyone had any experience of fender repairs?

Looks as though others are involved elsewhere!

Anyway for what its worth I would not bother to try and fix a fender, while it still holds air why not get a fender sock for it and if the fender bursts bin it.

I have the web site <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.fenderfits.com> here. </A>

I by the way have no connection with this company.

you can weld a fender using a hot knife, soldering iron or domestic iron. difficult to make it look pretty again but should be stronger than leaving an open gash. try it on a small area or scrap fender first, it's not as easy as you'd think.
