Re wooden Fenders What about the Telecaster?
On a serious note, I wonder if our poster has those fenders that have a plug rather than a valve. I have found that the only way to top up the air is to use a garage airline, blow the thing up, and then perform a lightning shuffle to get the plug back in before all the air escapes. You can over-inflate slightly to allow for the initial pressure loss.
Yeh, but I've tried that method but the damned air goes on escaping from around the plug! I posted on here a couple of months ago about the same problem, but even refitting the plug with mastic hasn't prevented the fenders going soft. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif
I'm really fed up about it 'cos I resent having to fork out for new fenders when mine are (otherwise) in very good condition. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif
Can anybody point me in the direction of a make that use a proper brass or other non-ferrous metal valve, just in case I do have to replace mine? /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
