Fence rope hangers - where to find?

Hi folks

While out and about over the weekend, I couldn't help but notice a couple of boats with little hangers clamped to their deck fencing upon which they would hang their coiled rope ready for action.

What a damned good idea... except... what the heck are they called? Nothing I can think of to lob into Google helps!

What a fabulous weekend, though! Couldn't bear the heat any longer while tied up at the Gazebo in Kingston... wow was the water refreshing when I dropped in the water!

Thanks in advance for any help with the rope hanger thingies!

They are not actually for ropes but for hanging a life ring . Lindon Lewis marine had some in stock a while ago .

Hitches? Are they {enthusiastic but sadly amateur) grandad proof?

I'm heading off down the "Life ring hanger" route right now with Google... thanks for all help thus far! God I really should be doing spreadsheets at this time! ;-)

I have fitted Barton Line Tamers to the Enterprise and have a couple for the boat in the "to do" box. Simple idea and cheap.

Bit pricey but the best you can get IMHO
