Excellent results from my advert. Several enjoyably rude PM's, 1 potential threat of Court action, plus a lead via the fragrant Mrs Capnsensible which found Christine, who has got her own fishingboat in canaries and has done a few transats too. And she is very keen to come along.
The very best aspect of this that now I have got two crew lined up, and they are called Pat and Chris. And definitely NOT two blonde wimmin, at all. In fact Chris's second name is Gordon or summink like that, so I am definitely in the clear, so far, sort of.
As of now i am only looking for final fourth member of crew, whichshould be maleto blance it all up. I think I need someone with reasonable sailing skills, transzat experience and qualification as a diesel mechanic. I thought that charging thm a fee of about five grand would be reasonble, dya think?
Note for the advanced skipper: I mite be making this all seem very easy, but it's taken me years of massive muckups to be as good as this. For example, note the sentence "and she is very keen to come along" at end of paragaph 1 above. See, i could have left it as "and she is very keen" which is far too risqué and would get me in a pile of shite with everyone. Even worse would be "and he is very keen to come". Whereas "and she is very keen to come along" avoids any double entendre whatsoever. Next week i will be covering how to get help finding tools and bits from female crew whilst fixing the boat but WITHOUT falling into the fallabout laughing fnarr trap of saying "I need a small screw". The thing to say is "i need a 6 mill screw, or maybe 8mill". Or just askem to get you a cup of tea avoids the whole issue...
