Faversham Town Quay

I noticed a workboat moored at the town quay a few weeks ago. Since learnt they're dredging the area in preparation for the Pirate Festival 13th July. Might mean I'll be able to get there at last, just not this weekend!!

Assume still no resolution to the who is going to pay for the the bridge and lock gates ............
Has silted up big time since the gates were removed and the water behind used for flushing.


What is happening to the spoil, just flushed down stream or if being removed it would have to have been checked for pollution and cost a pretty penny to dispose of.
