Just looking at the picture of the punch pressed version, it is pretty obvious what the problem might be - ie, you might wake up in the morning and find yourself in a different place, with only half a swivel on the end of your chain/warp.

Makes you wonder how such things get produced in the first place....

Would you care?

Poor exchange for an expensive anchor -a little piece of stainless steel with no future purpose.

Re: Would you care?

My reply was meant to be tongue in cheek, bit subtle I guess.

Personally I would worry more about drifting into a busy channel or onto Rocks whilst snoring below.A few years ago Milford Haven traffic control put out an alert that an unmanned yacht was drifting in the main channel off angle bay.
Turned out not to be unmanned but with a sleepy crew unaware that 150000 ton tankers were manouvering around them. Personally I allways sleep soundly thinking I will wake up if anything goes wrong ,so far its worked !

Jimmy Green paperweights

Jeeze if Jimmygreen had sent me the piece of junk in that picture I'd have sent it straight back, no need for recall. I wouldn't have put it any where near an anchor

Re: Jimmy Green paperweights

I wonder what Quality Control if any was / is done on these items. The riveted / punched variety does not look as if it would carry 3000kg and I have my doubts about the welded variety.

Sorry 4500KG (1.5XSWL).
