Fareham Marina

Ok, so it looks like I will be getting afloat by my own means finally , Considering mooring her at Fareham Marina, - Has anyone got any experience dealing with them?

Am aware that it's tidal, - Twin keels so that's ok

Also have Portsmouth Marine Engineering round the corner, but have no knowledge of them either.

Any thoughts/opinions welcome

I looked at Fareham Marina three weeks ago.

No shower block- bholders use pub or join near YC.

I spoke to them, very pleasant on phone. http://www.farehammarina.com/

They do a 450 pounds winter berth deal, up to 29'

One unsubstantiated comment about security problems.

I'm in Fareham Marina and yes, it is very basic with just water & electricity on the pontoons. I've found the owner & staff very friendly & helpful. Security is a basic door entry code & seems to work ok.
I'm also a member of the Fareham Sailing & Motorboat Club, a short walk from the marina, which has showers, toilets, workshop, bar room.
It's (the marina)about the same price as PME (which has showers/toilets) but no bar.

I have only kept the boat ashore there for a couple of winters but every one there was very helpful indeed. Nothing was too much trouble.
