Just ordered Farecla G3 1kg to give the boats a good going over but is it ok to use on my van? (electric polisher)
Any other tips welcome. Also boat has a painted line so polish grp first then apply paint stripe or other way round?
After G3 what wax etc is best?

Great for cleaning the boat, but be careful with the motorised polisher. Very easy to let the surface get too hot and damage the gelcoat.
Lots of water and change / clean the polishing mop a lot.
your choice of polish afterwards ( suggest wash down in between).

I would apply paint after the Farecla stage as its very likey to remove the paint . It is rubbing compound after all.

Farecla is an automotive rubbing compound so should be perfect on a painted finish.

Depends what he's trying to achieve with the van. I'd have thought G3 was a bit aggressive for amateur use with an electric polisher - perhaps a finer grade might be better.

Use the G3 on a foam compounding mop keeping it moist using water in a trigger spray bottle.

See the Farecla video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EsWqREdnkmA.

Wax using a good wax polish of your choice.
Farecla Marine Quickwax perhaps http://www.farecla.com/?screenID=120#/96
Whatever you Chandler has on the shelf.
Mer is quite popular too. Even Halfords stock it.
