and anyone else high tailing out of Cowes this morning.... hope you guys got back safe and sound... we set off at about 8am to catch the weather window before the wind kicked up... the wind had got up remarkably quickly on route and was gusting 20+ knts by the time we had the boat up against the pontoon... on the boat on the hard / trailer in Calshot typing this.

Great to meet you all at the Sealine do:cool:

Flower Power back on the sofa with a cup of coffee and the paper :)

Jazebo tagged along for the "ride" - it was a bit bouncy between the forts.

Well, I wanted to leave early but was well boxed in. Turns out that was a result as we are now sat at the Folly awaiting the arrival of some soggy festival goers wanting to go home!!!

Will let you know what it is like in the Solent, not expecting it to be too good!!!!

Great to meet you both.

Peter

Saw you going up the river, we were booked to eat at Folly, but decided to cancel as I think you are going to get mobbed !
its a bit damp out there, quick walk to the lighthouse for us..

Picked up the soggy teenagers, had the boat nice and warm for them.

Trip back was OK considering the weather. Hugged the Island until I got to Ryde pier, I never understand this wether stuff, wind was from the South but waves were on the nose!

Expected to roll when I turned North but it was not that bad. Worse bit was from half way across the Solent and into Portsmouth.

Berthing was fun!

Home now and have lit the fire - in June!!!!
