Many thanks to Jobs_a_good_un - we ventured out from CBYC this morning on Gemini Girl and had a blast ! Nice brisk 25 -30Knot winds and a few good swells (maybe 3m+).
Managed to get over to Brean Down from CBYC and anchored for a spot of lunch and a well earnt rest !
Set off back to CBYC at a cool 8.5 Knot clip across the south face of Steep Holm, and round to a broad reach into the buoyed channel and barrage.
This was our first time out in the Bristol Channel and boy did we enjoy it .......... real sailing, fabulous boat and above all a very compitant skipper.
Mark is a pleasure to sail with - knows his stuff and his boat and ............... taught Damo everything he knows /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif
Once again, thanks Mark.

Sounds like a memorable sail, certainly plenty of wind and the forecast ed rain didnt come to much.

What was it like anchored by Brean Down?Ive allways found the swell seems to find its way in even in a south westerly.

If I see you on C12 will come and visit.Banjo is out on a swinging mooring close to the clubhouse balcony.Have been busy working lately (sorry to use such a dirty word /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif) hoping to get some more sailing in this Autumn/Winter.
