We've heard of "Giant Squid" but an intact specimen of an even bigger squid whose mantle can be up to 4 metres long has been caught in the Ross Sea at a depth of 2,200 metres. (Mesonychoteuthis hamiltoni, if you're technical)
It leaves Giant Squid (Architeuthis dux) standing. (or is that swimming.)
