Is there anyone on here with plenty of yacht maintenance and sailing experience care to view it for me before I make a decision to make an offer and survey? Even,better, also be able to walk me around the boat on their iPhone via Skype or FaceTime?

It makes a lot of sense you getting someone experienced to look over the boat before you commit to a flight there yourself (when allowed) but are you really thinking of buying a boat before you’ve stood at its helm and stepped into the cabin to get a feel for whether it’s your future or not? Even boats of identical age and model can feel and smell completely different but maybe that’s just me.

I know what you mean but I've viewed a couple of others afloat and ashore and either been beaten to it, they have been withdrawn or had my offers of nearly the asking price refused. This one looks to be what I want, has the undesirable option missing and is about the right price.

Feel and smell? Know exactly what you mean there but this is one of the questions I'll ask the person who views before I get a survey.

In the present climate the boat is probably worth half of whatever price you first thought of.
