(No, this isn't one of "those" emails :) )

I've used a Yeoman plotter for all my navigation for the past couple of years, and like this way of working. The Yeoman on KS is built into the chart table, so will be staying with the boat when we sell her.

Earlier this year, when it became clear a new boat was on the cards, I started watching eBay for a replacement, and ended up buying a very nice Yeoman Pro, which has been stored flat in my attic since then.

Of course, buying in advance like this was a foolish idea, as the boat we ended up with turns out to have a chart table too small for a Yeoman Pro to fit. A Yeoman Compact, however, would.

I'm posting this just on the off-chance that someone with a Compact would like to swap it for a Pro (I'll pay the postage) to gain a little more chart area.

I'll be attaching it to the underneath of the table and rewiring the connecting cable, so minor cosmetic damage, stains, etc to the mat and curly wire don't matter. The Pro you'd get in exchange is completely clean and undamaged.

Any takers?

FWIW - I have my Yeoman mounted on a sheet of 6mm ply, along with the chart securing clips. The data/power cable is split, using a din plug and socket. This means that I can use it on the chart table, but easily move it out of the way.

There's one currently on E-Bay for 99GBP in LYMINGTON

Seen that; it does have over a week to go though so I'm sure it won't be 99 quid by the time it sells. Watching, nevertheless.

That's, um, nice for you.

Yeoman plotters can be trimmed down a bit, about an inch of all sides, maybe more.

Hmm, that's interesting. Can't see how you take any off the left-hand side of the Pro though, as the black box comes within a few mm of the edge. In any case, I need to knock off 65mm which is surely more than any margin on the mat.

Thanks for the ideas though.

Pete
