Fame at last

I bought this months (March) MBM, and was pleased to see my letter about MDL's fuel prices
at Penton Hook, and John Watsons (MD of MDL) reply to my letter and the other one about
petrol prices. Don't think he convinced me with his "we use low sulphur city diesel" as his justification.

Anyway I then turned to pages 76/77 an article about hull shapes and imagine my suprise when
I see in the semi dis pictures, my boat (Crown 37) with its old name of Zonnebloem
Reckon the pics about 1982/83, whilst in possession of the first owner, as it has the old Seaveyor
radar scanner and no bow thruster, which the second owner fitted.

Re: Fame at last Toobaz

It's a Neptune 38 sedan, Clive. Very similar to the Grand Banks Europa, same spec but I consider a better build on what I have seen to the GB's. Has Volvo 200 turbo's and smokes like anything while on the river. Cruises at about 14/15 knots with a good sea and would drive through a brick wall, if I left her to herself.
Can't get her any further up the river than Penton as she is too high to get under the bridges.

Re: Syndication - the next step

I understand that the right way to do this is to submit the letter to MBM and to MBY at the same time. Seeing as how they don't share the same office, fridge nor milk, and don't speak (cos MBM's boat is loads bigger than MBY's ho ho, ah but MBM's is a flatpack Sealine MFI job whereas MBY's is all solid bla blah scandinavian thing) you will achieve simultaneous gin *and* Balvenie.

I can remember the first time I saw our boat in MBM it was on a feauture about chartering in Majorca, July 94 edition I think, Paul Berger and Guy Thomas were at the helm, then it was in a separate feature about buying abroad, nice stern to shot in the med. Then it was a photo compettition some guy pissed out his head in the saloon with a bucket by his side, Guy Thomas I think? was it you Guy? ......
great boat, shame about the mpg so it had to go.

we had our new boat on the front page... so there yah boo sucks.... back in oct ish 2000, hardly anything of me right knee, left elbow and left breast I think, I was far too busy sunbathing and feeling greeen from the number of times we did tight circles off the needles, one way then the other, having already had a long trip back from france. Now, how many copies of the pictures did HE have made up, hanging on walls in house, office, 'Who's so vain' now. We also have pictures of Kim being chucked off the back, again only my rear end in the mag.
