Fambridge Yacht Haven - access from south bank of the Crouch

I am reliably informed that the marina has bought land on the south bank and will be putting in pontoons, a car park and dinghy rack so that the moorings can be accessed from the south.

Any idea how quickly? Don't suppose the pontoon will be in situ by Sat 20 Apr?

Cor that takes me back , my ole man used to leave a dinghy upside down on the sea wall back in early 70's when our boat was at Fambridge .............

The pontoons are stacked up in readiness but we stopped by on Monday and there were only two boats on moorings so things are obviously a bit behind this year.

Ah, so that's what the pontoons on the pier are for! They've been there for months and I bin wondering but never got round to asking

Brigantia should have been back on her buoy a fortnight ago, be lucky if she's in by May the way things are going what with the weather, work shifts and other demands on my time now

Absolutely nothing there but houses......bar closed a couple of years ago and is being converted into a one bed flat.

The fishermen used to seem to think so.
I remember doing a winter series some years ago with Brandy Hole YC and having to avoid the fishing lines as we tacked up the river. Most of the fishermen were very good however at trying to keep their lines out of your way.
