There is a viscous rumour that in addition to the above announced features and attractions there will be a return to the stage, for the first time in several years, of the (in)famous folk singer / guitarist who goes by the name of Bru!

Details of the musical "entertainment" have yet to be finalised but it's looking likely that we'll get something going during the day if we can find one or two more acts (any suggestions gratefully received but there's a budget of £0 so it's volunteers we're after) followed by either an open mic acoustic evening or an informal sing around session in the club house or aboard Ironsides

My smaller PA system will be on site along with my mates Rik and Tony to run it (the three of us used to run the stage tech at festivals so it'll be just like old times!)

More details to follow as and when there are more details to follow!!!

Tis rumored that all hands will be called on deck including any idling passers-by, itinerant musicians and other loafers and layabouts to raise the mast and fly the flag on the Saturday

Being a Thames Sailing Barge, it's a fairly routine operation (in theory!)

Bump!

Not to be confused with the rather confusing Crouch River Festival a bit later in the year which seems to consist entirely of people walking up and down the river with daft flags

We've got sailing barges, gaffers, steam ships, yacht racing, and all sorts going on. I'm sorry to say that there may be some folk music too for which I apologise in advance :D

I has been having a nurdle on the melodeon Buz Collins gave me years ago. Don't think it'll make an appearance in a fortnight but give it time...
