I knew that it was too good to be true……and it was. An empty visitor pontoon, in Falmouth Yacht Haven, when we arrived this morning. Then I noticed the crew stripping the decking off. Apparently it’s going to be out of action for all of July.

They were very helpful about letting us alongside, to refill with water - our main reason for needing to come alongside. And a water taxi ride, more or less door to door, from the larger of the two Tesco’s (just above the Pier), actually made Re-provisioning, from the moorings, easier than a footslog along the High Street, from the marina. Unexpected silver lining!

Next stop - the plethora of anchorages….

We moored up there about a month ago. Navigator wanted shower - thats women for you - and it seemed uncouth to use seatoilet in harbour. £27 but you cant use shower or toilet due to covid. We scuttled off to Trago Mills, bought needed fittings, had beer at the Front and departed to better parts.
