Fairline Targa 50 refit by boats.co.uk credit where its due...anything is possible!

Wakeup I think that's you in my first pic above :D:D:encouragement:

This is the reciprocal pic I think JFM, and Jimmy, you were the one sculling around on your tender trying to chat up the cow I seem to remember.

With apologies to OP, as you have guessed a few of us know this boat from Boats.co.uk etc and she was fantastic before the refit so you have done well here. Good luck with the ownership.

And also to the OP - I'm another one that has happy memories of good times on what is now your new boat, she's looking fab after the refit, congratulations.

Wakeup, 'scuse pedantry, but that isn't the reciprocal. Your underway pic is Omegaelite's boat on the approach to Girolata harbour, W Corsica. My 5th pic above is her moored up, taken an hour later

Finger trouble, see this one it might be the reciprocal.

And one of Jimmy looking for a fight with the bull in his tender.

and one of Match.

Nope, still not reciprocal. That one of Match rising onto plane is exiting Golfe de Propriano, S.Corsica, the reciprocal of my 4th pic in #11 above. It was after our fuel stop then the rafted up lunch stop in my 3rd pic above :D

So excited. We took delivery of our (new to us) 5th Fairline today. Weve considered Princess and Sunseeker over the years but the layouts haven't suited our needs. They have all been targa , 28, 29, 47, 28 and today we took delivery of our Targa 50. Hull number 00001 the 2011 boat show boat. Primarily bought this one as it had all the extras and because it had the bigger engines, and despite being older, as it had been owned by Essex Boatyards nearly from new and being the Failrine main dealer formerly they had upgraded everything along the way to the later versions of things - like the runners on the roof etc.

They all go orange inside on the wood. Now I know some people love the orange. Personally I hate it.

So when we looked at the boat @ boats.co.uk headquarters - I said to James - Id love a targa 62 but cant justfy £800k - But like the colour design light wood / dark wood and I like the original prebuild design (id found on the web but never found one actually built like it) - can you refit this boat to look like that. And he said yes. So four months later, after new carpets, all the wood re-darkened, new floors, leather, toilets, LED lights, new white work tops, new job, new bed head boards, a lot of cleaning and loads of other small things - today it arrived an all new boat. Hats off to Boats.co.uk for delivering on our vision and effectively giving us a new 50ft boat for 40% of the cost of a new one.

The end result justifies the wait and goes to show if you can think it boats.co.uk can build it - anything is possible!

Just want people to see there amazing work. James Barke has sold me 5 out of my last 7 boats and the service has always been second to none nothing is too much trouble ever. and when things go wrong - there people are all over it.

Things weve found so far- There is not enough cupboard space - The Targa 47 had loads - struggling for galley space as to where to put stuff. and there's no freezer. I assumed the large fridge was a fridge freezer. Nope just a fridge. So no ice for us in the summer. Thought about putting a freezer where people put the second fridge but weve not got enough cupboards as it is. I think we also should have chosen silver/grey leather as the cream is going to get dirty quickly. And I’m going to have build some shelving in the wardrobes as you can’t really store stuff in there just hang stuff

Still way cheaper than buying a 58 or 62 by about £2-300k.

I am in no way asscoiated with boats.co.uk - Just rarly do people actually deliver what they promise and when they do - I think it needs to be told to others.
