fairline targa 43

have a sea trial and run with sea beam-on - the one i had a go on felt quite a chine-rider. Otherwise cxheck the cockpit table piston, the firdge works, the shower doesn't leak and lots of other minor stuff.

I like them, been moving a few around the country recently and do like them, even took one cross channel on my own with another boat for company. they did not go far away as smaller than me and I had the life raft. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I owned a Targa 43 for a year and was a good boat - no problem at sea, the extra weight and shaft driven makes it a joy to drive.

Only a few issues:-

1. If you have the genset, getting at the batteries is fun - best to remove the tender and lift the hatch in the garage base to get to them.

2. The TAMD75Ps tend to launch the boat forward when the forward gear is engaged. Almost had SWMBO off the back of the boat many a time. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

3. When you open the engine room hatch (which has a table attached to it) it is quite heavy and you need to rest it on the seat.

4. The BBQ is quite forward and makes such a mess to the surrounding area it is quickier to drive to Tescos and bit something up from their pre-cooked BBQ range.

We has a 43 and were quite happy. Felt very secure at sea and got us through rougher conditions no problem so good sea boat.

Problems we had were leaking BBQ into rear cabin (so impossible to wash it for a while!) and the usual badly fitted doors and non draining showers! Good idea to check the drainage on them as the little containers they use often block up/break.
