Hi was wondering if anyone can tell me if the windscreen in the above is bonded and how easy it would be to remove and reseal. Looking seriously at buying the above but it has a leak at the top corner of the screen and not sure if this can easily be repaired with the screen in place or whether the whole thing needs to come out and then get rescaled? Any cost indications and if it broke coming out how much might a new one be. Thanks in anticipation.

I know of a leaking Squadron 58 windscreen that was successfully repaired by boats.co.uk without removing the screen. BCU were previously Essex Boatyards, the main Fairline dealer for UK. Depending on where the boat is, it may be worth a call to them.

Hi
Make it part of the purchase agreement that the screen leak is fixed
The screens are glass and were manufactured by Trend in Norfolk
great boat
Yep, glass, made by Trend. Generally you can force in black polyurethane sealant so as to repair without removing the glass. Removing is a major job and generally results in the glass being broken. I had a windscreen changed in a 2009 sq58 and it was smashed out, but as nick-H says you can generally get good results by resealing using polyurethane adhesive on a warm day and forcing it in with a scraper/blade
