I am trying to fathom out the toilet system on our Squadron 42. We have 3 seacocks under the guest cabin deck, and 2 divertor valves under the deck in aft part of ford cabin. The layout is different to Fairline manual. Anyone with same layout who could let me know what valves are? Due to space struggling to trace the pipe work?
Thanks. Neil.

It's very hard to be precise from the info given but I think you have two WCs each of which empties to tank or direct to sea, the selection being made by the diverter valves, one for each WC. That is all in 38mm piping. The 3rd sea cock with the 1 inch piping is the black tank pump out, probably from a Johnson centrifugal macerator pump ( work of the devil)

Your tank should therefore have 5 connections: the 2 WCs via diverter vales, the to-sea pump out, the deck suck out, and the air vent

But don't rely on this. It is guesswork because you haven't given enough info

On my Turbo 36 only the fwd head goes to the holding tank.

There is one divertor to select toilet dump to hold or sea, then another to select hold tank pump out dump to sea or deck connection.

Thanks for that jfm . That's what we think. The book says only starboard toilet goes to sea, and only 1 divertor valve which is confusing us.

Thanks superheat6k. I think ours is probably as jfm describes. Different to manual but it makes sense with what the layout is. brgds Neil

Don't worry about it being inconsistent with the manual. This happens all the time with fairline and perhaps others. They write the manual based on hull 1 then don't update it as they tweak the spec. (Tim Bartlett wrote the sq42 manual btw)

Thanks for that jfm. That explains a lot. In fairness the manual is really good but a few things don't tally up with what is actually fitted. Just finding our way round at present.
