Hi folks,

We have just purchased a Sedan 32 with twin volvo aqd40 engines and 280z drives.

Any thoughts on what fuel consumption we should expect?

Cheers, James

There were two aqad40's as far as I recall ... A & B ... the former with 130 Hp, the latter with 168 (I think)... but think the 280 drive was delivered with the A.... and B got delivered with 290 drives..

And I cannot quite remember if any of the F32 Sedan (or Phantom) was delivered with the B version (know of some upgraded ones and they went very well indeed)..

Anyhoo ... all depends on what speed you want to travel (and engine condition) ... if River & Displacement Speeds (Standstill to approx. 6 knots) fuel consumption will be very low indeed ... if you throttle up to planning speed which on that hull should be around 15 - 16 knots ... (but if you run her a bit nose high at 18 knots +, she'll behave better)... then the fuel consumption moves up a fair bit ...

Assuming 130's, my rough guess at WOT, would be that she will burn approx. 60 - 65 L / hr, but if you drop back to about 80% load, she'll drop down to an "affordable" 45 - 50 L/ hr
