It looks like I need to remove the starter motor on my Fairline Phantom 32 - it runs two volvo penta Aq200ds. I've been advised that the way to get to the bolts is to remove the battery housing and lie flat between the two engines and somehow reach in to the bolts. Has anyone out there done this and can offer any advice?

One method is to hire a contorsionist!
The other is to get one of those little gadgets you stick on the end of your socket set extension that articulates.
The bottom bolt is usually the one most hidden!
I did one for a mate many moons ago and I remember having to put an extension on the extension adjust my torso to a ridiculas angle and pray!
Doddle really!
Seriuosly the problem on his boat was the starter motor body was in the way of getting a socket "square" on the knut, that,s where the "bendy" attachement came in handy.
It,s a bugger but I know you can do it .Good Luck!
