The new issue of MBY this morning came with a Fairline DVD.

All that was on it was music and sexy boat shots - not a jot of information, no technical stuff etc. After watching it a few minutes it just became a boring shot of a fast boat. Ok the girls were all pretty so I suppose I am expected to be brain washed into thinking they come with the boat or something.

IMHO It was a wasted opportunity, a waste of money and could only appeal the brain dead.

A DVD with boats and girls on?

It's already appealing to me. I can feel the upper brain functions shutting down...

dv.

It just had the squadrons one after the other and then the phantoms - just musci not even telling you which model was which!

Why not have that for those who like it but a menu that gave the choice of finding out about any model etc. If they had simply a photo gallery of each model - that at least would have been something but it was non stop music and shots - no titles nowt.

I did a fast forward because it was so boring to watch.

Someone should tell them that they watsed some marketing money.

Its their 40th Anniversary DVD.

at last a sensible question.

I don't buy DVDs for technical specs - I download those as small .pdfs unless people confuse technical data with pretty marketing images in which case large .pdfs.

The DVD should bring those 'flat' details to life for me!

Have a look at the free DVD in this month's PBO on engine maintenance. Much more useful IMHO. Maybe even Trader could learn something /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I wish they had shown the progression through the models rather than just the current range. Can't stand the mist that descends over the film in the first third of the DVD. Poor Derek Carter looks more wooden than his desk! Otherwise very pretty' /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I would like to do my boating in those conditions! Perhaps I will now the red diesel is lost

Rumour has it it will also be on MBM Jan as well (same as PBO one) so my insider tells me

Yep, Hugh Heffner really struggled with that formula too. How boring?

GLUDY, product spec, details, dimensions and range development concepts... That's what the brochures are for!

DVD's are attention getters and mooood setters. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Just received mine this morning - It's nice to watch but the CEO got on my nerves and they blurred all the edges so i could only see half of the shot of the boats /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

They could have done so much more, what a wasted marketing opportunity
