Hiya
On a Fairline 43AC there is a set of batteries in the engine bay. I think they do the domestics and port engine. I'm convinced there is another one somewhere to just to start the starboard engine. On this particular boat there is a battery link switch which doesnt seem to do anything. Anyone know where to look?

Cheers

It is not that usual to have 2 x leisure batterys on a boat and single start battery for both engines. !
Sometimes it can have 2 batterys in parallel to start engines .
The battery link may bring the leisure batts inline to help start engines.
Disconnect the start battery(s) and see if either engine turns over ?

Thanks for the reply
I'm sure there is another one somewhere but the owner couldn't find it. I'm going over in a while so was just wondering if anyone knew where it might be before I go on a hunt.

Good Luck, took me a week to find my Fluxgate compass.Hidden under the floor in the galley.

If its anything like mine there are three batteries 2 domectic & port start, and a single start battery for stb engine - plus the ink switch.
Thanks Fred
Yes there are three- sort of linked. I found the link switch isolator but presumably there would be a rocker or push switch near the helm which is proving elusive.

On a multimeter the batter sits at around 12v - when I try and start the engine it drops to 3v so I'm guess the battery has passed away
