I Love Faireys - and I mean LOVE! I am trying to get hold of some pictures of the interiors of Spearfish/Fantome, perhaps from brochures or early mags of the 70s. Anyone else love Faireys as much as me?

Re: Here we go

Hi enob! How the hell did you get to choose that name? perhasp don't answer that!

Anyway, i can think of at least one other on the forum (burgundyben) who also admits to a bad case of infatuation with these boats. However, being keen on the insides means that you are even more nuts about them that he is, I think. What is it about the insides that you really like?

<font color=blue>My mate Syd don't like Fairies but they like him. Last year at Ramsgate Week one tried to pull him, even asked him for a dance.

Well I think enob (tcm's right wierd name!) might just want them as reference for a restoration project. Right bits in the right place sort of thing.

Re: Here we go

I got a FAIREY to the isle of wight the other day and thought it was horrid inside. I like the fact you can get lots of cars on it and it has a cafe. Don't like the red paintwork and the red funnel logos everywhere.

Sorry if the name causes offence - computer generated based on logic - there's a Lizzie in there somewhere. Interesting replies. Fairey web site looks good but very serious. I was hoping one of you sad muppets might have some Fairey pics under your beds to help a girl desperate to refit her aft cabin, if you know the feeling.

Hi Nobby, sorry E nob,

Been offline for a few days due to confuser being at the mender's. Just seen your post. I'm only slightly keener (more certifiable) than BurgundyBen on Faireys. He's right, contact Tony H-H. A more helpful bloke you could not wish to find. He interrupted his hols in Florida to go take pics of a SuperSwordsman for me. Dedicated, or what?

easiest way to get interior pics is to approach brokers with boats for sale and express an interest -or is that being a bit dishonest!
