Fabsil 'Gold' is a lot more expensive than ordinary Fabsil. Has anyone tried both? Is it worth the extra?

Not tried both and until reading your post I didn't know about the gold version.For myself having used the normal fabsil on a Bimini in Greece which leaked like a sieve I can only say it no longer leaked after application, it lasted two years without leaking even in the monsoon like Greek rain and to be fair you could see sunlight through the cover so it was very well worn .Be interested myself in any views on gold stuff.
