C'mon Paul, you'd rather be inside a Scottish cloud, knowing there was all that wonderful scenery out there somewhere, than in London or fighting through the crowds in the Solent.

Mind you, the weather down here has been absolutely bloomin' georgeous!

Thinks... is my impending move to Edinburgh really a good idea???

Re: F...ing forecasts as well

I've just looked at 2 forecasts for the solent. Both predicting force 4. Chimet and Bramblemet weather stations show actually force 7 gusting 8.

Don't feel so bad when it's crap as still ashore at Ardrossan. So wedding anniversary feast tonight at the Gargunnock Inn (good chef we're told), and, tomorrow, maybe a run across to Portavadie/Tarbert to watch the Scottish Series fun.

Talking of which there is a not-terribly-good Scottish Series webcam.

Went to Largs to watch power boats.........wind even too strong for them, racing abandoned for the day........the good news is 4cast 4 tomorrow looks not too bad.....heading to Arran for the night.....Sgeir will maybe look you up one day in Ardrossan.....Richard never saw much out of that cloud today but your dead right much prefer this baltic weather and fab scenery than 90 degree plus and all the agro the Solent brings........hope Nellie busy with needles.

Looks better for tomorrow, But I have almost given up on forecast lately. The met office forecast is a joke. I just look at it now to see how wrong they can get it. A couple of weeks ago met office showed 10mph easterly. In Largs marina it was touching 30knots at times.

Jeez, look at dem lovelies! Seriously nice pic of attractive people enjoying their boats in seriously nice weather. Getting really fed up of sailing in rain and gales. Scottish `summer` weather seems to be getting worse and worse. A couple of hours sun forecast for monday,we hope !

Re: It was OK here........

Aye but at less than 10kts!

With the winds here past few days those things would break the speed limit without engines !

Must admit that I dispair with the weather forecasts, I tended to use the BBC online, possibly because they give very very optimistic outlook. Anyway, seldom correct. Amazing how with all the technology, that a bit of seaweed is probably as accurate

Cameron
