Here it comes!!!

Nothing worse than a bank holiday in england at the moment but due to dramatically worsen in the next few hours.

Crossed fingers nothing gets damaged and nobody hurt.

Due to head up the west coast, good luck all fellow forumites in Florida

well its about 2mph winds here and 29c hot here in sunny Cali.

Hope the winds do not cause you guys any problems...

I hope you don't live in one of those chip-board and glue houses that americans seem to build especially in frequent tornado areas. . . . . . haven't they heard of bricks and mortar? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

PS - jokes aside, hope you emerge unscathed.

I have always wondered why tornadoes seem to aim for trailer parks.

If I was emigrating to the USA and while looking at properties the owners took me out the back to show the storm shelter I would definitely choose a different location!

Well managed to come out with only minor damage to house and zero damage to the two boats. Thankfully only a cat 1 hurricane as it headed over us, but still enough to kill 4 people locally and cause extensive property damage.
Thankfully I live in a bricks and mortar bungalow so my only damage was to the mossy screens.
The big boat sat through the whole storm as if it was built for it. Sitting down in the crew accomadation watching TV was as if there was nothing happening outside. I would estimate the winds hit 80mph in my area.
Still have no power, cable or internet. (at a friends house on YBW)
Looks like we got off lightly seeing the storm now!!!

173 miles per hour winds now.
